Be true to you.
You may (or may not) have noticed I’ve been missing from your inbox of late.
During this time I felt an explanation of my absence was necessary. Yet each time I attempted to write, I became stuck. Access to flowing words, coherent sentences – denied.
Then, slowly, things started to shift with everything coming together last week when I had a Human Design session. More on this in a minute.
My last 4 months…
A business relationship ended, an intimate one ended too, friendships changed form, my current living situation came to an end – on the move again (watch this space, think Hawaii), I sat my final exam for Kinesiology, boundaries with the spirit world changed (thankfully), and aspects of myself surfaced and fell away, leaving space for a more authentic self to emerge.
It’s been beautiful, it’s been hectic. It’s been blissful and agonising. It’s been life.
It’s been a period of massive transition. And with any transition there is uncertainty, confusion, hope, faith. Moments I felt I was drowning, swimming dead against the current, questioning it all. But always with a a knowingness in my depths – things were unfolding divinely. With the final puzzle piece: a Human Design Session.
Human Design Session
I’d been wanting to have my charts done for a while. Find out my rising sun, moon, all that jazz. And then, through divine intervention I was put in touch with Jennifer, my Human Design Session therapist.
Human Design is a combo of four ancient metaphysical wisdoms (#soulporn – you too?). It’s a crafty mix of Astrology, the Chakras, the Kabbalah and the I Ching.
Brought together they allow for an incredibly accurate assessment of who we are and how we operate in the world.
Jennifer started off the session by saying,
“I like people to be themselves. We’re each here, to have a life experience in a certain way. We’re not here to exhibit every possible aspect of what it is to be a human being. We come in with certain traits and personality aspects at the forefront of who we are. Our energy is designed to run in a certain way. We have certain gifts, certain vulnerabilities…And then off we go on our big adventure of life, how fun”.
I loved this.
“We’re not here to exhibit every possible aspect of what it is to be a human being…”
Hello individuality and our own path.
“Our energy is designed to run in a certain way….”
It’s up to us to learn how to work with this, not against it.
“And then we go off on our big adventure of life, how fun!”
Enough said.
We are all such individual, unique, divinely created beings. Yet it’s easy to lose sight of this when we start comparing ourselves to others, when we get caught up in the shoulds of life, when we adhere to chronos time instead of kairos time. When we ignore the whisperings of our soul.
This session with Jennifer didn’t give me any new information about myself. I’m happy and grateful to know myself pretty well. I do enough sessions of this and that, I do the work, I meditate, I do the things one does when they’re on the spiritual path. Which I know a lot of us do.
What it did do was further explain and provide insight for the way my energy is designed to run in this lifetime. The way I work best in my business and in my relationships, my patterns, my strengths and vulnerabilities, my soul’s calling, the power (yep, power) of my ego.
It gave me permission to honour my journey exactly as it is. It gave me permission to be even more me.
Ask yourself, are you honouring your very unique, divinely orchestrated journey? If not, it might be time to start.
Earlier I mentioned “Our energy is designed to run in a certain way….”
It’s up to us to learn how to work with our own unique energy. This is where therapy comes in. Any sort of therapy.
If you haven’t had a session of sorts for a while, just do it. This is how you learn to work with your energy.
Make the time. Invest in yourself. Get curious about who you are. Cause when you do, you clear the static for a more graceful, more aligned existence.
This life of ours is one big adventure. Don’t forget this. How much we enjoy the adventure, this is up to us.
Get in touch with Jennifer, it’s money well spent (it’s quoted in Hong Kong dollars, so don’t freak at the amount of numbers) and then to help clear any misalignments, come in for a session.
On finishing this post I pulled a card… It said “Be true to you”.
Be true to YOU.
All my love xo
