Angels. How to connect with them.

At the beginning of the year I saw Gabby Bernstein speak.

She said the following and it stuck with me, ‘when we’re in the presence of fear we’re relying on our own strength’.

This hit home. It reminded me that when we disconnect, or rather choose not to connect with the power of the Universe, we attempt to do life on our own. Which makes for clunky, static-y, ordinariness.

This year has seen me trusting more, and by this I mean trusting more in these Universal powers that are on offer. The guiding forces, supporting us, protecting us, helping us.

It started first in clinic.

Then it extended into every day life.

Now they’re just there. Companions.

And by companions I mean angels.

This angel energy comes through a lot in session. I’d be lying if I said that when it first started happening my rational mind (god love it) didn’t exclaim ‘this is a load of crap’. But, like with everything in a session, I go with it. It’s not mine to judge or analyse. I’m there simply delivering the messages. If it comes through, I offer it.

But these angels started to come through. All the time. To the point where now, I’m writing a post about them.

And so this post is about connecting with them. A lot of times it comes up as homework for people to connect with their angel. And they ask How?

I can only share what I do.

I invite, encourage, am excited for you to find your own ways of connecting. For there are many.

These are mine.

  • I chat to em. Just like they’re there. Imaginary friend stuff.

Recently I worked with an intuitive, an angel intuitive. She’s sees your angels. Hears em. Understands them. She introduced me to two of mine. This has made it even easier to communicate with them. Nothing has changed, except for my belief and trust. They were always there.

  • I tune in. When I’m tuned in, my body fires up with electricity, I get this surge of energy and it jolts my shoulders. Doing this energy stuff all the time strengthens this ability to tune in. It’s like a muscle. The connection with angels is no different. You gotta work your intuitive muscle. Consciously. Then you get the results.

As for how you’ll feel in their presence, I have colleagues who burp, yawn, have face twitches, arm hairs raised. Chills. Your body is the conduit. It will respond. And if it doesn’t, it doesn’t mean they’re not there, or you’re doing it wrong. You might just need to allow it to develop. Be curious about this. Trust it. And honour the way you tune in.

  • I say thank you – a lot. A lot a lot.

I thank them for their support, guidance, hints and kicks up the arse. Cause sometimes, they will give you a kick up the arse. I also thank them for sharing their energy with me. And their humour. When I started working with them in clinic, clinic became a WHOLE lot easier and more fun. Like exponentially so.

  • And before I do anything. Write a post. Send something on Facebook. Tune into my calendar – open myself up energetically for clients to book in, make phone calls. I tune in to their energy. Ask em to bless it, guide it. Make things as streamline, graceful and effortless. Cause flow is good.

I’ve learnt to do very little without contacting them first. This especially applies to doing presentations, workshops, standing in front of groups. I ask that they work through me. Before I started doing this I would literally go home from workshops so depleted and drained. It was awful. Now though, it’s different. Very different. I believe (know) it’s because of them.

  • And I meditate. Daily (my intention). 3-5 times a week (my reality). By doing this, I open a channel. I have a direct conversation. That muscle we talked about – this is part of your workout.

How have they made my life easier?

It flows. Opportunities seem to manifest without the effort. My intuition is off the charts accurate. There is a lightness, a humour to my days. It feels magical. Like you’re in on a secret.

And the best bit, you don’t need to be an energy practitioner to access them. I know I’m in a unique position where I’m consciously connecting with this energy because of my work with clients, but like I said earlier, I use it all the time now, not just when I’m in clinic. You can use it too, in whatever ‘job’ you have, in whatever state your life looks. Not just when you’re on a green juice bender.

The messages that come through from them, all the time, are:

  • use us
  • trust us
  • play with us

I haven’t done a heap of research on these energies. I’m no expert. The little I have read says they need to be called upon. They need to be asked.

Ask yourself the question – are you maybe not asking? Are you maybe trying to rely on yourself? Your mere mortal self. Relying on your own strength, making everything harder than it needs to be?

I went through a phase earlier this year where I doubted the whole thing. It was after a Death Dinner Party, the first one. One of the guests said ‘we’re just skin, bones, muscle. When we die, we die’. And I thought ‘WTF? A life without a spirit. Holy shit. What if he’s right?’.

So I stopped with the angel and energy stuff. I stopped using it, being conscious with it. I started moving through life – on my own. I lasted about a week. It was f*cking awful.

If the word angel doesn’t sit well with you. Don’t use it. Try guides. Universe. Force. Energy. Chi. Divinity. Goddess. Fairies. Mufasa. Whatevs.

Give it a go. For a week. Return to your childhood, embrace that imginary friend. Then reassess. If life seems different, easier, more full of grace, keep it up.

They’re waiting. Your team of angels. They’re literally waiting to help. Time to get involved.
