Wanna be rich? Here’s how.
One of the biggest things I’ve learnt this year – is to NOT freak out.
Rewind to February this year. I was sitting in the park across from my flat in a serious state of panic. How was I going to pay my bills? How was I going to attract enough clients? How the hell was I going to make this all work?
And it was the type of panic that ripples through your body, electrifies you – but not in a good way. In a paralysingly awful way.
But then as life would have it, events cropped up that forced me to focus on other things for a few weeks. And it was through these distractions that life started to flow again. And so I realised that all the worrying and obsessing and sitting there paralysed was doing me no good. So I decided to drop it.
And this kick started one of the biggest lessons of the year.
In letting go of trying to control everything, in letting go of worrying about the clients, the money, the numbers I chose instead to concentrate on what mattered – helping and supporting people as best I could. I focused on this. And what happened was life started to flow in the most beautiful way. The money appeared (always in time) and the clients booked in, more and more of them.
Then I read Denise Duffield’s Lucky Bitch book – in which she talks about getting cool with your money. Getting clear on your patterns, your sabotages, your fears and ultimately blessing every single cent you have and blessing every single cent you spend.
Upon reading this I committed to everything I’ve just written above and I tell you, this is when things really started to pick up speed.
I do not say this lightly. Bless, be grateful, say your thanks for all the money you have. And really say it. Really feel it. Really mean it. It’s so easy to get caught up in wishing you had more, but at the end of the day if you have enough to buy a coffee, put food in your belly, keep the roof over your head, buy the occasional thing for your back – life is good. There is no other way to look at it. This process is not complicated.
Be grateful for the bills, the debt, the things you don’t really want to pay for. Be grateful and watch your experience of it change.
And lastly, I recruited the Universe as my CEO.
Success means you need to work at it and it means you need to stick with what works. So, being human I noticed myself moving back into a fear based place half way through the year. I started to worry again. I started to think my luck might run out. Then I read E Squared in which she talks of recruiting the Universe to manage her business and I thought why not…
BEST DECISION I EVER MADE.
I do things from my end. I keep studying, I keep learning, I keep stretching comfort zones, I keep thinking, I keep being grateful, I keep managing my insecurites, I keep humble – and the Universe responds in the most beautiful of ways.
If you want more abundance in your life. Give these things a go.
And lastly (and most importantly), stop complaining about money. Even if it’s in passing. Even if it’s to fill conversation. Even if it’s to agree with someone for the sake of it. Just stop. Remove yourself from the vibration of scarcity and you’ll have no choice but to enter one of abundance.
I look forward to you joining me 🙂
